Are you ready for the Construction Act 2009? It comes into force on 1 October 2011.
Key changes include;
– Introduction of Payer Notices, Payee Notices and Pay-less Notices.
– Can the value of an Application for Payment become the sum due?
– Suspension cost recovery rights.
– Adjudication will now apply to both oral and written contracts.
RCC are hosting a seminar on Thursday 22 September 2011 from 09.30 am to 12.00 pm.
This seminar will examine aspects of the changes introduced by the Act 2009. Payment terms on all construction contracts will change. Forewarned is forearmed!
