Commencing December 2010, RCC Director Andrew Redfern has been appointed Trainer for the Confederation of Construction Specialists (CCS) responsible for the delivery of the CCS training portfolio in all UK locations bar the South East. Andrew replaces Bryn Tomlin, also of RCC Limited. The majority of courses are held in Wombourne, West Midlands but in-house courses also prove to be a popular choice.

As reported back in January 2010, RCC were asked by the CCS to play a leading role updating several of the modules of their premier training offering the ‘BTEC Level 4 Course in Construction Dispute Avoidance’. The course updates were completed and signed off by the CCS Board and are now in use.

Speaking of his appointment Mr Redfern said “I am very pleased to have been asked by the Board of the CCS to replace Bryn as one of their trainers. When I started my career in the contracting industry I was put through the, then, Diploma Course by my employer and was lucky enough to be taught by John Huxtable. The course provided me with a great deal of knowledge and confidence that i have utilised ever since. The CCS training portfolio includes many courses suitable for anyone working within Specialist Sub Contract company and the BTEC Course in particular is excellent. I am looking forward to starting the training and am determined to make the courses as informative and enjoyable as possible. I also want to thank the CCS for making this appointment.”
