On June 18th 2010, RCC were invited to the RAF Club in Piccadilly, London to accept an award from the Confederation of Construction Specialists (CCS) for Associate Member of the Year.
The CCS represents specialist organisations within the construction industry that design, manufacture, supply and install a wide range of advanced systems and components – between them having a combined turnover of over £3 billion a year. Associate Members of the CCS are professional practices, consultants, individuals and other relevant parties who have a positive interest in the Specialist sector.
The CCS not only provide support to their members and lobby for greater recognition of construction specialists within the industry, they also provide a unique contractual training programme.
The awards ceremony formed part of the CCS AGM and Annual Conference. The award was presented by Paul Morrell, Chief Construction Adviser who was also responsible for delivering an excellent after-dinner speech which was both entertaining and inspiring.
Andrew Redfern accepted the award on behalf of RCC and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of RCC staff and gave particular thanks to Bryn Tomlin, who, in addition to his role as Senior Consultant at RCC, is currently the CCS Director of Training. Andrew’s speech also reinforced the inherent value of the CCS as an organization and appealed to those present to encourage other members of the industry to make use of the CCS so that it continues to grow and is able to exert its influence within the construction industry as a whole.
RCC are proud to hold this award for the next year and will continue to support the CCS wherever and whenever possible.
